Terms of Use
Effective date: July 10, 2026
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and the independent developer of Remember (“Remember,” “we,” “us”) governing your use of the Remember app and its related services. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
1. The service
Remember is a Bible journaling app: you can write journal entries, record voice notes that are transcribed into text, look up Scripture, and sync your journal across your devices. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app for your own personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms and to the applicable app store’s standard terms.
2. Your account
- You need an account (Sign in with Apple or Google) to use the app, so your journal can be securely stored and synced.
- You are responsible for activity on your account and for keeping access to your sign-in method secure.
- You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction) to use Remember.
- You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete Account; see Delete Your Account.
3. Subscriptions and payments
- Typed journaling is free. Voice recording and transcription include a free allowance; continued use beyond it requires the app’s optional auto-renewing subscription (offered monthly or annually).
- The price is shown in the app before you subscribe and is charged to your Apple ID (or, on Android, your Google Play account).
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the current period ends, at the price shown when you subscribed (or as subsequently disclosed).
- You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your device account settings (App Store: Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions). Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
- Subscribed transcription is subject to a generous fair-use limit to prevent abuse; the app will tell you if you reach it.
- Payments, refunds, and billing disputes are handled by Apple or Google under their terms; we do not process payments ourselves.
4. Your content
- Your journal entries, recordings, and feedback posts remain yours. We claim no ownership of them.
- You grant us the limited license needed to operate the service: to store, sync, transcribe, and process your content solely to provide the app’s features to you, as described in the Privacy Policy. This license ends when you delete the content or your account, except where brief retention is required to complete deletion.
- Journal entries are private to your account and are never visible to other users.
5. The feedback board (community content)
The in-app feedback board lets you post ideas and comments that are visible to other users. By posting there, you agree to the following — and we have zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users:
- Do not post content that is unlawful, hateful, harassing, threatening, obscene, defamatory, discriminatory, or that infringes anyone’s rights.
- Do not post spam, advertising, or another person’s private information.
- We may remove any content and suspend or terminate any account that violates these rules, at our sole discretion and without notice.
- To report objectionable content or an abusive user, use the report option in the app or email praisy.eli@gmail.com. We review reports and act on legitimate ones within 24 hours, including removing the content and ejecting the user who posted it where warranted.
6. Scripture content
Scripture quotations are from the ESV® Bible (The Holy Bible, English Standard Version®), © 2001 by Crossway, a publishing ministry of Good News Publishers. Used by permission. All rights reserved. Scripture text is provided for personal use within the app and may not be redistributed in violation of Crossway’s terms.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- reverse-engineer, tamper with, or circumvent the app’s security, metering, or subscription mechanisms;
- use the service to build a competing dataset or to send content you do not have the right to process;
- interfere with or disrupt the service or other users’ use of it.
8. Not professional advice
Remember is a journaling tool. Nothing in the app — including transcribed or AI-processed text — constitutes professional, pastoral, medical, legal, or financial advice.
9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The app is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Transcription is automated and may contain errors; please review important entries. We encourage you to keep your device backed up.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, arising from your use of the app. Our total liability for any claim relating to the app is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in the twelve months before the claim arose. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, and nothing reduces the consumer rights you are entitled to in your place of residence.
10. Termination
You may stop using the app and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access to the service for violation of these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 4, 6, and 9) survive.
11. Changes
We may update these Terms as the service evolves. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and, for significant changes, tell you in the app. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
